El Nido is one of the most beautiful places you’ll ever see, as is Coron, off the north end of Palawan, making them both a must-visit for anyone travelling to the Philippines. You’ll likely start off your island hopping adventure here, but how to get from El Nido to Coron? You’ve a few options.

How To Get From El Nido to Coron
1. Fly from El Nido to Coron
This is the fastest option, but also the most expensive, at about $50 USD for a one-way flight. If you’re very short on time however, you might not mind splashing out.
The flight is only 40 minutes long, and Air Swift operates one flight every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
2. Take the Fast Ferry
If you have $35 USD in your budget then we suggest taking the fast ferry (3.5 hours to get from El Nido to Coron). Two companies each operate one trip a day: Montenegro Lines departs at 6am, and Phimal departs at 8.20am. You’ll arrive at Coron Port which is just a 15 minute walk from the town centre.
3. Take a Slow Boat or ‘Bangka’
Not in a rush? Consider taking a local slow boat, which takes between 6-9 hours to reach Coron. It’s cheap at just $27 USD per person, and is a lesisurely journey with lots of friendly locals to chat to en route. The two operators are Bunso and MBCA Jessabel but keep in mind they might not run if the currents are strong.
4. Slow it Down on A Passenger Cargo Ship
For an interesting (but lengthy!) experience you can hop onboard a cargo ship every Wednesday to Coron. MV May Lillies, operated by Atienza Shipping, takes passengers across the islands for $28 USD for an economy ticket. The trip will take about eight hours.
5. Book Tickets Online Via Bookaway
